Research & Development
The Wade Group collaborates with research partners, technical advisors, and board-level experts whose work has helped establish biologically driven remediation as a viable solution for persistent organic contaminants.
The research and field results highlighted here were developed by independent researchers and practitioners and inform Wade Group's approach to evaluating, selecting, and supporting remediation strategies that prioritize effectiveness, cost realism, and environmental responsibility.
Rather than reinventing existing science, Wade Group focuses on translating validated research into deployable, site-appropriate solutions.

These peer-reviewed and field-validated studies form the technical basis for biological treatment approaches used by Wade Group partners. The research demonstrates that bioremediation can achieve regulatory cleanup goals for highly persistent contaminants—such as dioxins, toxaphene, and chlorinated phenols—while dramatically reducing cost, energy use, and greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional thermal remedies.

Microplastics & Emerging Contaminants
This body of work represents applied and emerging research led by the next generation of practitioners, with a focus on microplastics, modern pollutant pathways, and the downstream impacts of legacy and contemporary contaminants.
Building on the foundational principles established by earlier bioremediation work, this research explores how biological and environmental systems interact with newer classes of pollutants.
This research emphasizes field observation, applied analysis, and evolving remediation challenges, particularly where traditional treatment frameworks fall short.
Microplastics Research ›Ongoing & Collaborative Research
In parallel, Wade Group supports ongoing collaboration with board-level experts and research contributors to evaluate new applications of biological remediation, including emerging contaminants and evolving regulatory priorities. As this work progresses, additional research summaries will be added.
Wade Group is also open to partnerships with organizations seeking applied research. Companies and institutions can engage us to design, evaluate, and implement site-specific studies that leverage our network of scientific and technical experts.
